When you start off the day in an okay-ish kind of a mood and quickly turn it into a good mood with some prayer and productivity it shouldn't be a surprise that some things just had to end up going array. School work actually got done on time, kids were fed and playing happily in their room.. together.. no fighting..that should have been my first sign not to let my guard down. Due to my oh so helpful little man baby trying to "help turn off the gas stove" while i was switching over the laundry in the next room, me and my two little munchkins ended up being forced to go outside of the warm comfort of our home into.. 20° weather for what felt like FOREVER, when really it may have or may not have only been between 20-30 mins. 🙄 After we finally get the go ahead from the nice gas company man to go back inside our toasty little home it seems.. its not so toasty anymore. Cluelessly cranking up the thermostat to no avail realizing I feel the need to add a few more layers of clothing and that nothing requiring electricity is on. Go outside, again. Flip the breakers, still nothing. After calling and blaming my gas company for somehow messing up my electricity 😬 I look outside and go ask the nice man with the Duke energy truck when i'll have power again.. at least 3 hours.. there goes my productive to-do list tackling self. (EVERYTHING i needed to do required a computer with wi-fi or some sort of electricity). But it's day's like these that it's nice to let nap time cuddling take a little longer and begin to really appreciate the little everyday things we take for granted everyday.. like heat at the press of a button, lights, or clean water coming out of the fridge. The Lord obviously knew that today would be the perfect day to grant me one more "little thing" of joy, it came in a small cardboard box, and helped me finish my to-do list once the power came back on.. it was my free samples of Seventh Generation laundry detergent. sounds silly? maybe. But trust me, it's not. If you or anyone you've ever known has suffered from sensitive skin whether breaking out in hives or runny nose and itchy eyes (our house has seen it all) you learn to not only read labels but to hate all things unnecessarily toxic, like common scented laundry detergents. BUT, finding a good "hippie" laundry detergent that not only cleans as good as your everyday bargain brand but also leaves your clothes smelling fresh is another challenge all its own. I am happy to say though, that much to my suspicion Seventh Generation held up to the test and even better than that. Yet being "fragrance free".. i don't know that my clothes have ever smelled so good and CLEAN. Long story short, thanks to becoming a GenerationGood member and signing up for coupons and free samples i will most definitely be purchasing this product in the near future as well as recommending it to family and friends who i know have not only suffered with run of the mill detergent but also want something eco friendly. Hopefully you'll sign up and try this product and end your search for the best baby friendly detergent I've found yet. (good for grown ups and muddy husbands too) 😉 *all comments were my own, were in no way paid for, the sample was provided free, as were my opinions on the product.*
